In the wake of the Tai Po fire, many people in the community—whether directly affected by the incident or distressed by widespread media coverage—are presenting with intense emotional needs. To support patient-facing healthcare professionals who may be the first point of contact, this webinar will offer practical guidance and tips for responding with sensitivity and effectiveness.

Speakers will review common psychological reactions seen in different affected groups, outline helpful “dos and don’ts” when talking with emotionally impacted individuals, and highlight red flags that may require referral for further support. The goal is to equip healthcare staff with confidence to provide clear, compassionate, and appropriate support during this difficult time.
